Description | | All students, including students with disabilities, English learners, and high-ability learners should have access to high-quality instructional materials and instruction. Topics covered on day 1 will include topics that need to be understood in order to get the most out of high quality instructional materials in Tier I instruction. We'll learn about phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, as well as the importance of grade-level texts and tasks. All of this information will be applied as participants examine and plan using their instructional materials.
Day 2 will go beyond Tier 1. We will cover factors including vision, hearing and dyslexia. For part of day 2, we'll break into 2 groups: one discussing dyslexia; the other, interventions for struggling readers in grades 4-9.
This will be available for college credit. |
