DescriptionEvent Description: Join us to learn how using varied academic assessment and data from multiple sources can help build strong IEPs! This three  day training will be offered for 2 Continuing Education credits through  UW. Participants will only be required to be in person for the training
one of the days. One day of independent work will follow the three training days to begin using the training materials. The key topics and  focus for each day is as follow:

Part 1: June 1 (In Person Training Day, no Distance Option available )-Exploring and using achievement assessments to help develop more specific IEP  goals and services. This day will present the general use,
administration and contents of several achievement specific tests. This  could include the Kaufman, WRAT, WIAT, TOMA 3, TORC 4, GORT 5, etc.  Hands on opportunities to view these components will take place. The  Dyslexia components of specific assessments will be discussed. Practice  using and interpreting score reports will take place.

Part 2: Canvas Course Completion (approximately 2 days)
Additional Work will be completed in the Canvas course and will explore the following components:
-WJIV Assessment rules and Methods (videos from Pearson)
-WJ Munoz assessment in an alternate language and rules regarding this
-MDT Writing and using Academic Assessments
-Integrating all components into the IEP: Present Level, Goals and Accommodations
