CSC ENG 532 (Shakespeare) Online Course
3 graduate credit hours
June 8-July 3
Description: Chadron State College is offering, for the first time, a graduate, online English summer course. This course was developed especially in response to requests from area teachers and designed for current English teachers. We will read literary and pedagogical criticism focused on teaching Shakespeare, and students will work to create unit plans of their choosing. Participants will: 1) Allow English teachers meet the NDE dual enrollment standards (which require 6 graduate credit hours in English. 2) Provide an opportunity for all enrolled students to choose a Shakespeare play and develop a unit plan and lessons for it 3) Introduce teachers to new media and technology that supports teaching Shakespeare’s plays
