DescriptionRationale: The Institute for Holocaust Education and the Nebraska Holocaust Education Consortium believe that Holocaust education can be most meaningful, successful, and impactful when educators are provided with quality resources and guidelines. In the relatively young and evolving field of Holocaust education, we strive to provide access to the most up-to-date research and pedagogic thinking.

Objectives:
Share knowledge of cultural background and historical events leading up to the Nazi rise to power, as well as during the Holocaust and WWII
Increase familiarity with the guidelines established by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM), and how they can be applied in the classroom
Develop personal rationales for teaching about the Holocaust
Explore resource materials and lesson ideas that will be useful and easily adaptable to each, individual classroom
Learn about new technologies in Holocaust education
Engage with a network of like-minded educators
