Description | | Current Drug Trends in Nebraska and What You Need To Know
Description: Eyeballing vodka, snorting bourbon, B.H.O., krokodil, roboing, triple c, crank, K-2, smack, edibles, 420. Do you know what these drugs are? Many students do, ranging from 5th thru 12th grade. The United States is 4% of the world's population yet we are consuming 2/3 of the world's illegal drugs. This does NOT include the prescription drug abuse problem in our country. Learn how today’s highly potent marijuana is impacting our youth and serving as a gateway to many other illicit drugs. Learn personal safety techniques that can keep you safe when dealing with the public and simple things you can do that can make a difference and prevent drug abuse in your family.
Chuck currently works with ESU #13 as an educational consultant. He provides teachers, students, parents, and businesses information about drug use, crash safety, and other safety issues. He served as an officer in the Nebraska State Patrol for over 28 years. Fourteen of those years he spent as a community service officer. During that time, he presented over 3,500 times in nearly all of the Panhandle’s schools. He was awarded the State Employee of the Year Award in 2006 for his efforts in fighting drug abuse.
Hospitality: Coffee rolls and lunch will be served.
