DescriptionPM Session #41: Repeat of Health Sciences: Your Students, Standards, and Pathways

Description:
Who should attend this session? Any teacher who wants to or already is teaching in the fastest growing career area: Health Sciences! In this session you will learn what the employment outlook in Nebraska is for your students in Health Sciences and why it’s a good career choice. You will be introduced to the newly revised NCHSE National Heath Science Standards, and given teaching tips on how to infuse them into Nebraska state standards. We’ll wrap up the session by working through the always intriguing question, “What's the difference between a "Cluster" program of study and a "Pathway" program of study? And does it really matter?” Hold on--that’s not all… PERKINS Trivia will be played throughout the session – winners or in most cases “participants” will take home a Taber’s Cyclopedic Medical Dictionary! A session you won’t want to miss!
