DescriptionThe session discusses what toxic stress is and how the various forms of toxic stress affect children. These can include areas of neglect, parental addictions, domestic violence, and abuse. They can impact the young child’s developing brain in the areas of language, emotional regulation, attention, sleep, and learning, grounded in the significance of the attachment relationship.
