Description
Foundations and Applications of Trauma-Informed Approach
March 28 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm MDT Free

This training provides foundations for understanding challenging behavior from young people and how it relates to the impact of trauma.

During this training we will explore how the brain organizes and develops, how typical development takes place, how trauma can impact development, and some of the challenging behaviors that adults face when trying to support young people.

Using the intervention planning tool, we will provide a case example about how we reframe a young person’s behavior in trauma-informed context and then develop strategies to help support them.  Participants will have the opportunity to create their own plans for young people and practice applying concepts to develop practical solutions for how to support those impacted by trauma.

Training Dates:
March 28th – Educators & System Providers

Hospitality: Coffee muffins  in the morning and lunch on your own.
