DescriptionDescription: Participants will review informal social assessments, social skills curriculums and resources. Attendees will learn the difference between teaching social skills and theory of mind skills, and how to program and incorporate social skills throughout the school day. This full-day training will provide an overview of how to teach social skills to students on the autism spectrum. Participants will be able to look through a variety of resources and curriculums. Time will also be allotted for teams to start planning social skills instruction.

Audience:  It is recommended that districts send a team of: Resource Teacher, SLP, Counselor, psychologist, Parents, Administrators, and other Professionals working with students with High-Function Autism.
