Description2021-2022 SY Quarterly Webinars
For the 2021-2022 School Year, the NAELPA Quarterly Webinars will have a
different format. NAELPA is collaborating with the Council of Chief
State School Officers (CCSSO) and the US Department of Education, Office
of English Language Acquisition (OELA) to host Three-Part webinars, one
each quarter, that will cover in depth the requirements for programs
for Multilingual Learners (MLs) as outlined in Castañeda's
three prongs, which are: 1) ML programs must be based on sound
educational theory; 2) ML programs must be implemented effectively with
adequate resources and personnel; and 3) ML programs must be evaluated
as effective in eliminating language barriers.
